Deception Pass

leave a comment »

Nana rented a Sienna mini-van and took us to Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island this Sunday. Seattle was hot, over 85 degrees, so we dressed in shorts, t-shirts and sandals. Well, Deception Pass was barely 50 and foggy. Brr. We hiked along the grey sand and pebbled shore, tossing multi-hued stones in the sound, watching the current flush under the pass bridge, and chasing sea gulls. Amelia sang into Julia’s ear while bouncing along in the backpack for over an hour. She’s becoming quite a talker!
